Dr. Mullen is a UK registered pharmacist who obtained his initial Pharmacy and subsequent PhD degrees from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Scotland.
He has used his science-based practice chair to develop cross disciplinary research to integrate and bridge science and practice elements of the pharmacy profession.
Alex focuses on translational research to widen patient access to age- and disease-specific medicines and to realize better use of medicines by use of digital health.
Alex’s wealth of clinical and scientific experience has led to numerous collaborations with clinicians and the pharmaceutical & biotech sectors over his career. This has led to significant grant capture, publication outputs and a vibrant research group.
